Karen Ferrell brings more than thirty years of experience as a senior executive with publicly traded health plans and private equity backed health services companies. She serves as the Executive Chairman for Advantum Health. She also served as Executive Chairman and CEO of GlenRidge Health Solutions, a tech-enabled network management solutions company.
She also served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Apollo Health Street Inc., a business process outsourcing company focused on revenue cycle, technology and healthplan services, where she led the turnaround and successful sale of the company for over $200 million. She served as Senior Vice President of Provider Contracting and Medical Management for CIGNA Healthcare, where she was responsible for $32 billion in medical costs for more than 12 million members. She also held leadership positions including President Aetna Healthplans of Florida, Executive Director at Scripps Health and Vice President Provider Contracting at Prudential HealthCare. Karen currently serves on several private and public boards for healthcare services and pharma companies. Ms. Ferrell earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
Philip Lewis is a Principal with Fulcrum Equity Partners. He joined in 2007 as an Analyst and was promoted to Associate and then Director before becoming a Principal in 2015. Prior to joining Fulcrum, Mr. Lewis was the CFO for RivalHealth and helped guide the company through its merger with gBehavior, now branded GoPivot. He worked as an Investment Banking Analyst with A.G. Edwards & Sons. Mr. Lewis earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
Sreeram Mantha has 20 years of leadership experience in capital markets, hospitals and healthcare providers. He was the CEO and Co-Founder of DNA Healthcare prior to being acquired by Advantum Health. Sreeram serves as the Chief Operating Officer with Advantum.
He also served as the Co-Founder of Infospan Technologies, a capital markets consulting firm that evolved into a provider of technology solutions to investment banks, healthcare services and other industry verticals. Additionally, he was a Senior Technical Manager for Cap Gemini (Accurum) and provided product development and technical support for IBM. Mr. Mantha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Andhra University in India and a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Cornell University.
Jeff Muir is a founder and partner of Fulcrum Equity Partners and its predecessor firm, Fulcrum Ventures that started in 2000. He is also a co-founder and former Managing Partner of Chatham Capital, a mezzanine finance firm launched in 2001.
He has managed over $350 million in capital and led or participated in 150 transactions, including public offerings, multi-party mergers and consolidation plays. Prior to forming Fulcrum, Mr. Muir was COO of OnTarget, the leading provider of consulting and training to large sales organizations worldwide, including IBM, HP, Cisco, Dell, Microsoft, Siemens, Deutsche Telecom, Nortel and BellSouth. He spearheaded the highly successful exit strategy for the owners, resulting in a merger with Siebel Systems in December 1999. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia, both with honors. Prior to law school, he served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force, including a tour in the Middle East.
Kirk Reid is President of Auctus Performance, a healthcare focused growth consulting firm. He also serves as a Senior Advisor for CI Capital Partners. He recently retired from Juice Tyme (now The Bevolution Group), where he served as the Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to The Bevolution Group, Kirk compiled over 30 years of healthcare experience in sales, business development, marketing and general management. His leadership experience has included Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Chamberlin Edmonds, Vice President of Sales for Gentiva Health Services, and Executive Vice President for NEW Healthcare Services, and Executive Vice President for Premier Anesthesia. Mr. Reid earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Missouri State University and completed post graduate Master’s work at St. Mary’s of California.
Ricardo A. Salas
Ricardo Salas is President of The Silver Lake Group, a private investment company with interests in health care, technology and media businesses. In 2001, he founded and served as CEO of iLIANT Corporation, a health care information technology and outsourcing service provider for physician groups, hospital systems and academic medical centers.
Following iLIANT’s merger with MED3000 Group, Inc., he continued to serve as Director of MED3000 Group, Inc., through its sale to McKesson Corporation in 2012. He was a founder of Medical Manager Corporation and served as CEO and President of Pediatric Health Alliance. Mr. Salas earned an Economics degree from Harvard College.
Venkat Sharma is Founder of Advantum Health (formerly iHealth Innovations). Mr. Sharma has significant experience building healthcare and technology businesses, successfully founding and exiting two enterprises, including iMedX. Mr. Sharma has sourced, negotiated, and closed over 15 acquisitions during his tenure with Advantum and iMedX.
He was a member of the leadership team that took Acorn Information Services from start-up through successful IPO. His prior corporate experience includes IBM and 3M. He serves on the boards of JJ Metta Foundation and Passport Health (as Vice Chairman). Mr. Sharma earned a Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (India), and a Master’s degree in Management from Clemson University in South Carolina.
VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
John Barrett has more than 30 years of healthcare management experience. He was the CEO and Co-Founder of Med Advantage, a nationwide Credentialing/Enrollment organization certified and accredited by NCQA and URAC prior to the company being acquired by Advantum Health.
John serves as the Vice President for Business Development for Advantum Health. Early in his career, he owned and operated several startups. His experience includes insurance sales, credentialing operations and sales, physician recruitment, healthcare systems and large corporate sales including Revenue Cycle Management services.
Chief Financial Officer
Michael Dowling has more than 25 years of financial leadership, primarily in the technology and healthcare sectors. Mr. Dowling serves as Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing the financial, human resource, and legal functions for Advantum Health.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia and has held leadership positions at SecureAuth (Core Security), RiverMend Health and Cotiviti (iHealth Technologies). He has worked closely with private equity firms to foster results-driven environments focused on key operating metrics and helping organizations maximize shareholder value. Mr. Dowling earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.

Chief Technology Officer
Vijay Rajan has more than 26 years of expertise in start-ups and management in IT, ITES and healthcare. Mr. Rajan serves as Chief Technology Officer for Advantum Health. Vijay Mr. Rajan has served in various senior management roles with responsibilities including software project and technology infrastructure management,
content design and development, application production support, information security and BPO-KPO services. He has served as Director, Content for Next Education India Pvt Ltd, as well as Executive Vice President for five years. Prior experience includes Ivy Comptech Ltd, Webhelp Inc., Tanning Technology, ArtistaSoft International, Tata Cellular, Modi Olivetti and Crompton Greaves. Mr. Rajan earned a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from Madhurai University.

Mr. Sharma is Founder of Advantum Health (formerly iHealth Innovations). He has significant experience building healthcare and technology businesses,
successfully founding and exiting two enterprises, including iMedX. An experienced M&A executive, Mr. Sharma has sourced, negotiated, and closed over 15 acquisitions during his tenure with Advantum and iMedX. He was a member of the leadership team that took Acorn Information Services from start-up through successful IPO. His prior corporate experience includes IBM and 3M. He serves as vice chairman of the Board for Passport Health, and he is a board member of the JJ Metta Foundation. Mr. Sharma earned his Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (India), and a Master’s degree in Management from Clemson University in South Carolina.
VICE PRESIDENT OF REVENUE CYCLE SERVICES
Tammy Taylor has more than 30 years of healthcare management experience across multiple hospital systems. Ms. Taylor serves as Vice President of Revenue Cycle Services and Operations where she is responsible for managing the staff and deliverables for global Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Tammy has held senior positions in corporate compliance, hospital and physician revenue cycle and practice management. Ms. Taylor completed a Bachelor’s degree with the University of Maryland, University College – Japan Campus and Southern Illinois University Carbondale in health care management. She proudly served in the US Navy as a medic and has her CRECE-I/P certification through AAHAM.
