Expands customer base in the New York City area
Louisville, Ky. — April 5, 2017 — iHealth Solutions, LLC, a leading healthcare software and services company, announced today it has completed the acquisition of New Jersey-based emPower Docs LLC. With this acquisition, iHealth adds emPower’s loyal customer base in the New York City area to its portfolio, along with superior medical revenue cycle processing centers in the cities of Chennai and Bangalore in India.

Venkat Sharma, iHealth’s chief executive officer, will head the combined companies. Morty Lempel, former principal and director of sales at emPower, and Raj Dharmaraj, emPower’s principal and director of operations will continue with iHealth in sales and operations roles respectively. The current iHealth management team will lead iHealth, supported by emPower’s strong global operations.
emPower’s base of customers in the greater New York City market includes large independent practices that specialize in vascular surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, and several primary care specialties. “These customers augment iHealth’s existing enterprise customer base while also strengthening iHealth’s current revenue cycle services to hospitals and large practices in the Northeast,” said Mr. Sharma. “New York City is a unique market, and Raj and Morty’s deep experience will greatly benefit iHealth as it strives to become the preeminent, national technology and services solution for healthcare providers.”
