The Power of the MORE THAN PINK Walk
The MORE THAN PINK Walk, organized by Susan G. Komen, is a signature event that has evolved from the original Race for the Cure, first launched in 2018. It has since become a nationwide movement, with over 100,000 participants in more than 40 walks across the United States, raising over $60 million for breast cancer research and life-saving programs. The Komen Louisville Walk was a powerful reminder of the collective strength of the community and the importance of every step taken toward a world without breast cancer.
One of the unique aspects of the MORE THAN PINK Walk is its inclusivity. It welcomes individuals of all ages and abilities, from breast cancer survivors to those currently undergoing treatment and individuals living with metastatic breast cancer. This year’s event brought people together to share their stories, support one another, and raise critical funds to help those impacted by breast cancer.
