Mary Sandhya’s journey into the world of healthcare financial analysis is rooted in a strong educational foundation and a passion for growth. After completing her B. Com degree at Stanley Degree College and her earlier education at Stanley Girls High School, Mary took her first step into the healthcare industry as a trainee. This initial hands-on experience gave her a deeper understanding of the sector and set the stage for a career marked by continuous development—both professionally and personally.
Today, as Deputy of Financial Analysis at Advantum Health, Mary thrives in a role that challenges her to collaborate with a skilled team, solve complex problems, and drive meaningful results for the organization. “I find great satisfaction in collaborating with a skilled team, tackling complex challenges, and ultimately achieving objectives that positively impact the organization,” she shares. “Additionally, I value the continuous learning opportunities that this role provides.”
Mary is particularly attuned to the challenges facing the healthcare industry. In the near and long term, she notes the strain caused by rising demand for services due to an aging population and an increase in chronic conditions. These pressures contribute to workforce shortages and longer wait times, creating a need for more efficient systems and innovative solutions.
Working at Advantum Health has been a transformative experience for Mary. “I had the opportunity to work across the entire end-to-end process, gaining valuable exposure to all aspects involved,” she says. The company’s culture of inclusion, learning, and advancement has helped her hone her skills and expand her understanding of financial operations within healthcare.
Mary continues to grow as a leader in her field—driven by curiosity, shaped by experience, and supported by a company that fosters talent from within.
